Micro Teaching LabMajors & Minors

The biology department offers two undergraduate degree options, as well as a minor. Both degree options allow students to engage in course curriculum that fits their specific educational goals and prepares them for future careers related to biology. All biology students are assisted by faculty advisors in the selection of courses as specified by the Biology Advising Guide.

We offer a wide range of exciting courses to biology majors and non-majors. Students have the opportunity to enroll in courses that span across all disciplines within biology, from molecular biology to physiology to ecology. Aside from traditional lecture courses, student acquire knowledge through hands-on laboratory courses, research-related courses, specialized seminars, and study abroad experiences.

Biology & the Pre-Health Program

Biology students aspiring to become physicians, dentists, veterinarians, physician assistants, pharmacists, or other health-care professionals participate in the Pre-Health program. Faculty affiliated with the Pre-health Institute, many of whom are Biology faculty, provide students with a variety of resources to help them achieve their health care-related career goals.
