Teaching Responsibilties

Biol 20204 – Anatomy & Physiology I Upon completion of Biology 20204, a student should be familiar with the biological levels of organization, the molecular composition of living things, the basics of cellular structure and function, concepts of homeostasis and histology. The student should also be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the following body systems: Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular and Nervous. A laboratory component of the class will aid students in the understanding of the above elements utilizing exercises in microscopy and gross dissection. Students will demonstrate their understanding of topics through lecture and laboratory examinations and through weekly quizzes.  This course is intended for science majors that require Anatomy and Physiology as a pre-requisite for application to graduate or professional school as well as Nursing, Health and Fitness, and Athletic Training majors.

Biol 20214 – Anatomy & Physiology II  Upon completion of Biology 20214, a student should be familiar with the biological levels of organization, the molecular composition of living things, the basics of cellular structure and function, concepts of homeostasis and histology. The student should also be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the following body systems: Structure and function of the circulatory, digestive, respiratory, excretory, reproductive and endocrine systems of the human body. A laboratory component of the class will aid students in the understanding of the above elements utilizing exercises in microscopy and gross dissection. Students will demonstrate their understanding of topics through lecture and laboratory examinations and through weekly quizzes.
