Dr. Clark A. Jones
My primary teaching responsibilities for the Fall and Spring semesters is Basic Microbiology (BIOL 20234), which I teach to students pursuing a degree in Nursing, Nutritional Sciences, or Life Science Education. The course contains a lecture and a laboratory section that focuses on clinical microbiology and the way microorganisms affect health. I also supervise student Teaching Assistants (TAs) in the Teaching of Biology (BIOL 40332).
My academic focus is on education and awareness of Global Health issues. I organize and moderate the Global Impact on Health care annual event. Invited scholars visit classrooms and participate in a campus-wide event discussing topics in Global Health. Please see the Global Impact of Health page for more information.
